The Leeno L-T31-D250 comes from Saudi vendor Fourth Dimension and is designed to provide a noiseless, inexpensive computing solution.

On those counts the Leeno succeeds because the machine is whisper quiet when in use. Only the hard drive can be heard on occasion and as far as cost is concerned, retailing for US $250, it is quite a bargain considering its specifications.

Under the machine's black hood sits a 1.6GHz dual-core Atom processor that also boasts Hyperthreading support and this is backed up by a healthy 2GB of memory. Intel's 945G serves as this machine's core-logic chipset and on the whole, these specifications make the L-T31-D250 more than capable of running everyday office applications and most other applications.

In our benchmarks the machine returned scores that made it competitive with the Asrock Ion. That said and if you don't mind spending more cash, the Asrock is slightly more able and will perform far better in applications that take advantage of its GPU's CUDA capabilities.

The only real issue with this machine then is that it lacks an optical drive. While this might not be an issue if the Leeno is being used in an office environment, the machine loses a lot of appeal when it comes to serving as a light-use home PC. On the other hand the Leeno one ups the Asrock in terms of convenience because it sports front-mounted USB and audio ports.

Verdict: The L-T31-D250 is a cost-effective business buy that will enable you to tackle everyday office applications with a small, convenient formfactor.
