In line with this the V2400 Eco sports a LED backlight. Compared to a regular backlight, LEDs generally offer better brightness and contrast while consuming
less power. On paper the screen offers a brightness rating of 250cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. In use the screen's display was quite bright, so ambient lightning didn't wash out the display. Moving to Full HD movies and photographs, the screen bashed out impressive contrast and colours.
Playing fast paced games, we noticed slight blur though this didn't destroy our
viewing experience. With compact dimensions and a bright white finish the V2400 Eco is a classy looking piece. Unfortunately in terms of functionality we found it a bit lacking as you can't pivot or rotate the screen. Thankfully, you can tilt the screen so movement
isn't completely restricted. Another somewhat strange aesthetic touch is the inclusion of a small circular depression in the base of the LCD. BenQ says you can use this to hold a mini plant pot or small keepsakes. Odd.
On the connectivity front the V2400 isn't fully-featured; it offers a D-Sub port along
with a HDMI input. While the latter is a sound addition we'd prefer the former be dumped in favour of a DVI port.
Verdict: Though the V2400 has some strong selling points it would have fared better if it offered more features.
