How green is your business?
By Mark Sutton Published March 14, 2010

Green technology has been heavily promoted by many IT vendors, but in the current economic climate, green IT initiatives for the sake of the environment have moved lower down the IT manager's agenda in favour of more pressing priorities such as cutting costs, delivering projects with immediate bottom line benefits and keeping in line with developing regulatory requirements.

Now vendors are promoting how environmentally friendly technologies can make an impact on an enterprise organisation's bottom line through factors such as cutting document and printing costs, or conserving energy - but are the region's businesses listening?

We need your help to find out how much organizations in the Middle East are taking the green message to heart, through completing a short online survey about green initiatives, with the results to be released in a special supplement to Arabian Computer News and here on itp.net. Through your help, we hope to gain proper insight into the level of penetration of green initiatives, and how much more there is to do in the region.
